If you are 18 years of age and over and would like to learn how to look after your skin, apply your own makeup professionally, look your best and gain the confidence you need for a job interview, or any special occasion, then I invite you to Rise Above.

My Story
Hi, I’m Liz Harris, founder of PDE (Personal Development & Education) based in Perth, Western Australia.
I have a background in Adult Education (TAFE sector) and the Personal Service industry (Beauty Therapy and Makeup Artistry). With over 30 years experience in the Beauty Industry and over 16 years as a TAFE lecturer, I have had, and continue to have, the pleasure of working with many diverse individuals; I am passionate about Inclusive Learning, to meet the needs of all my learners.
Specializing in Vocational, Education and Training (VET) Reasonable Adjustment, I am available to advocate individuals during their VET course, consult and advise RTOs in the area of assessment adjustment.
My professional experience combined with my personal lived experience with Autism and ADHD, has given me an insight into the additional hurdles Neurodiverse young adults are challenged with, when it comes to personal self-care and presentation, and the impact that has on first impressions.
I identified a gap of face-to-face mentorship and coaching around image, personal hygiene and how to present oneself for interviews; this sparked a passion that has led me to create tailor-made workshops called ‘Rise Above’, covering everything from skincare, makeup, self-care, image styling and confidence building.
Empowering young adults is at the heart of my passion!
